love came down.

It's Christmas day! After lunch we had a nice family devo:

This season should be more about receiving, receiving the gift of God. Jesus was promised to us as a Savior (Isaiah 9:6-7), but He's more than just a savior to us, He is much more (Wonderful Counselor, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace).

Jesus came to save us
from our sins
for His glory
and
to serve Him.

From our sins - Jesus frees us from the bondage of sin. We have access to the God of Holiness through Christ's blood.

For His glory - We may have our own plans of giving God glory, but He may have other plans. When things aren't going the way we want, keep in perspective that this way may give God more glory.

To serve Him - Christians are bond servants. We have no rights or entitlements. Everything we receive is by God's grace. We shouldn't have the mindset that we deserve good things, because we are doing what we are supposed to. We are just humble servants of the Most High God. It is a goal to serve Him in reckless abandon.

Merry Christmas to you all!
