Genesis

So here I am in NC with the fam bam. It feels good to have this down time from work. I totally need this. My body was being overworked, and I can always count on gaining weight whenever I go to my parent's place. I've really missed my mom's cooking, and all my favorite foods. I love the new place where they are staying at. It's a quaint little house that one of the pastors down here own. It definitely feels like home here.

I'm in the book of Genesis again, and no matter how familiar some of these stories are, I always learn something new. Sometimes, there are stories that I don't even remember reading about. I'm trying to read through the entire Bible again. This time around I can use some of the techniques of biblical interpretation that I learned in my Inductive Bible Study class and K Ro. I am currently in Joseph's story, and I am still taken aback by it. It's such an amazing story of character development through trials and hardship.

All men God uses greatly, He first prepares greatly. Few are willing to endure the greatness of God’s preparation. God orders both our steps and stops. - D.Guzik
