THE CHRONICLES OF THE PASSENGER

July 29, 2012

@D&B for Herrelin's birthday.
Power went HOUSE(out) due to the typhoonic storm.
People played Man Hunt in the darkness of White Flint.
It was still fun & games til we had to go.
Shiela was on EMPTY.
All gas stations in the area were down.
Traffic lights were down.
We spotted lights on a street with a railroad.
We were hopeful for a moment until we started noticing something strange.
The lights were flashing for the railroad, but there was no train.
After minutes of waiting for the light to turn green, we decided to make a U-turn.
We couldn't jet home because of the massive traffice.
An improbable feat for Shiela on EMPTY.
We had to think of alternate solutions.
Thankfully the Castelos lived nearby.
Gave them a ring.
A kind maiden invited us poor wandering souls to their abode.
Finding their place proved exasperating.
We seemed to be going in circles.
We ended up in the deceiving railroad again.
We made a right turn into the void.
Better the void than the perpetual red lights.
Another oasis appeared.
Exxon was shining bright in the dark night.
But alas, that oasis was another mirage.
The pumps weren't working.
Onward bound again to the safe haven of the Castelos.
We were almost there when we saw a fallen tree merging into view.
It almost blocked the entire road.
Once we got to the Castelos, the kind maiden offered their couches to us.
As we eased in our seats, another problem arose.
One of our members was in need of insulin, or else death.
He only had a limited time before his previous shot wore off.
We dozed off temporarily washing our worries away.

July 30, 2012

Morning came, and so did a most gracious breakfast.
We departed with gratitude.
Finally we gassed up after a long wait in line.
We traversed home with a full stomach and a full tank. Elated!
We were eager to see the damages done back at home.
Still no power.
Tried to abduct another member. Failed.
He is on a previous engagement to NC.
Headed to ChikFilA for keys. Keys to answer the future.
Suddenly a fateful voicemail answered our question.
Church is down til the next day.
Our member at last shot up with insulin, but took forever and ever to gather his necessities wasting our precious cold air.
Our next destination is to our driver's house.
We were fortunate to have come across a noble warrior on the way.
We also added another member to our party.
An excited dog expressed his joy upon our arrival.
We received news of a birthday celebration in far off placed called Glen of Burnie.
There we headed off.
We ate to our fill and waded in the water.
Hoping to use our V.I.P. passes we skidaddled to D&B in Arundel Mills.
To no avail we tried watching Abraham Lin. Sold out.
We phoned a friend for Plan B.
We traveled to our next air conditioned host. The Abot residence.
They've slyly had power more than the rest of us.
Egad! A blockade has hindered our path.
We are rerouted.
The professor has made good thinking.
There is a coke scene all over the streets.
The Popo's didn't want us to have any.
These familiar roads have become a baffling labyrinth of despair.
We are uncomfortably close, yet still impossibly far.
We arrived at our destination excited to tell Master Jaysoon of our unforgettable journey.
He smiled and nodded and fed us with some sustenance.
Elder Jerry arrived a little later causing a commotion.
We decided to head home before trouble catches up to use again.
At the end of the day, I still had no power at home.
The hospitality of friends continue to grace me.
I'm truly grateful.
This adventure has taught me two things: God is our stronghold & always be prepared for zombie survival.
It's not over yet.
