Auld Lang Syne

2009 has been a year of reconciliation and renewal. I feel as if each year keeps getting better and better. To God be the glory.

Some highlights of this year:

1) I went to a Chris Tomlin concert in January and a Hillsongs concert in June. I also attended Acquire the Fire for the first time in May where I met Unhindered and other bands.

2) I went snowboarding for the first time in March. It was quite a challenge. I fell on my butt 90% of the time. I wasn't very good at stopping. I shall be trying skiing instead next time.

3) I gave myself straight bangs twice this year. lolz.

4) I purchased my very own DSLR: Canon Rebel Xsi "Ludivine". I have done many fun shoots already. I hope to do many more in 2010.

5) The youth group/young adults group had a "Let's go to the park" phase. We were so active this year. Heck, most of us even joined the gym for fun, including me! I fell in love with Planet Fitness because of all the purple on the gym equipments. I even went on days when I was sick. heh.

6) There were enough girls to have girl's small group in the youth group. Yey. I was even blessed with a more intimate small group: PK triad/KLMN (Tasha, Lizelle and Ate Kristine as our leader).

7) Marty, Matt, and Aaron got haircuts. hah yes, this made it in my 2009 highlights. Oh, and I too, cut my long hair. I'm growing it out again.

9) I turned 20 this year and the lovely ladies from small group threw me a surprise. So much purple! I loved it. I've always wanted my friends to throw me a surprise, and this year I got it. I love being 20. I was so ready to leave the teenage years. I praise God for two decades of life He has allowed me to have.

10) I went to Pump It Up several times this year for birthday parties and such. Good times

11) I planned an all-nighter for our youth in June. It was definitely good bonding time with the kiddies. I'm thankful for Mike, Jason, and Kuya John because they share my burden of leading the youth in our church. We also attended a kids camp in August that was planned by Ate Christine where we were counselors. This time the younger kids were there also with the pre-teens.

12) This is the first year I flew out of state by myself when I flew to Ohio in August and Florida this December.

13) My friends and I went through a Poker phase. I remember staying up late playing poker on facebook when I had work early the next day. Tsk tsk.

14) First time I stringed a guitar "Kalysta"...with a lot of help from others of course. Also bought my own Uke "Ren".

15) First time going in a haunted house in September. Prolly my last time as well. I'm a scaredy cat ok

16) Oovoo phase.

17) Seeing loved ones I haven't seen in years: Stephen R., Edrei, and Kuya Bench

18) Moved to a new house in November =D

19) Through God's provision I won a free class for the spring semester ^_^

I'm excited for what 2010 holds. One of my prayers is that I learn from the mistakes of 2009 so I don't repeat it. 2009 has proven all the more of God's faithfulness to me. May 2010 prove all the more my faithfulness to God.
