"At the center of every challenge is an opportunity for trust in God to work. Every problem contains a concentrated opportunity and offers the option of stepping out in faith." - M. Southerland
I've been dreading my unemployment this whole summer. As I've mentioned before, I truly dislike depending on others financially. I don't like being in debt. I like being independent and having the money to be generous to others. Lately, I'm always the one on the receiving end. Blah.
Despite it all, God has put in me in this situation for a purpose. If ever my faith has been so tested, it is now. Every day I'm learning what it means to put my faith in God, even in the little things. What seems like a curse is actually a blessing in disguise.
"It is easy to trust Him when the seas are calm and the skies are clear, but the strength of our faith is measured in the midst of a raging storm. A crisis always reveals what is really inside. What life does to us depends on what life finds in us. Faith is a deliberate choice to believe God, to walk through our fear, knowing we can trust Him every step of the way." - M.S.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
