Alas, today is the last day of March. I can't say this month turned out how I expected it to, but that's just life. How often does it really go the way we planned? Yet another reminder of our mere humanity. We are so powerless, incapable, and incompetent. Compared to omnipotent and sovereign God that is. But then again, there really is no comparison at all. We are nothing. Perhaps only objects of God's love, but surely that makes us something in the end. Our only worth is in God and God alone. I know that was a random rant, but after 24 days what else can I talk about? The topic of God's greatness will never get old.
Going back to the topic of plans not working out due to unexpected circumstance. I'm adopting a sub motto for this year. Every year starting 2 years ago, I usually go about things with a motto. For 2008 my motto was "last chance". For 2009 my motto was "que sera sera (whatever will be will be)". This year my motto is "all in", but I've decided to have a sub motto along with it. Due to all the unforeseen events that are out of my control, I'm just going to sigh out a callous "hakuna matata". I choose not to worry my life away. This year is an all or nothing. When it comes to poker, 9 times out of 10 I usually lose when I go all in. So why take so much risks this year? Well, why not? After all, we don't live forever. If I lose, I lose. Hakuna matata. I'm rarely a sore loser anyway, so thank goodness for that!
