What a day.
The mess started at work. It was such a weird and chaotic day coming back from the four-day weekend. There was drama between teachers and parents and certain students acting up. Then again, I guess you can say that is typical. But today was just crazy at work. It busier than usual because there were a lot of students testing.
After work, I went to my small group meeting. We first met at the library, but we knew we were going to be loud, so I suggested we do it at Panera. I haven't been to Panera in a while, and most of us were feeling kind of bleh from the weather so the soup there was sounding pretty good. We decided to take one car, so I left my mine at the library. We had a great meeting, very edifying, and the broccoli and cheddar bread bowl was deelish. Afterwards, we went back to the library to get my car.
This whole time, I was carrying my history book with me. You can see it in the background up there ^ Getting out of my leader's car was the last time I remember having my book. L and I went back into the library to apply for a library card, my very own! I also had to get a book for my Psychology class. After checking out, we went on to pick strawberries at Giant. As L was purchasing her stuff, it was then that I remembered not having my history book when we left the library. I prayed and hoped that it was in my car, but it wasn't. We drove back to the library again, this would be the third time in one day, to see if I left it there. We searched high and low, but to no avail. It was no where to be found. I even asked if it was in the lost-and-found, but it wasn't there either. This history book of mine is quite important, for I have 4 quizzes on it due this week.
I went home stressing about it. The only solution is to purchase a new one, and to pay 2-day shipping which will double the cost. Yey.
Both L and I were so puzzled as to why we had no memory of me having it after leaving our leader's vehicle. Such a mystery. It was if it simply vanished. I was thinking maybe someone had taken it, but who would want a history book?!?!
On top of it all, I have new bug bites on my legs that have mutated and are causing me great discomfort. They are sending strong messages to my brain to scratch them. But I know it will only make it worse. It burns like fire. T_T
Putting all the frustrating things that happened today aside, I was actually oozing with joy and content for the most part.
That was my day. The End.
