water spilled out.

"All of us must die eventually. Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But God does not just sweep life away; instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from him." - 2 Samuel 14:14

In yesterday's sermon, I learned about 2 Thessalonians 3:13 how we must not be weary in well doing. Though it is good to be physically worn out from doing good things, we must not be bored or indifferent to the things of God.

Bored, for example, about routinely going to church and doing the "same old same old." Those who get bored with such things do not have their hearts right with God. It shouldn't matter whether we hear the same message or sing the same song every Sunday, if our hearts are right with God our worship is acceptable unto Him.

Indifference is what most Christians are plagued with today. We should not have the "it is what it is" attitude and become accustomed to society's (for lack of better words) immorality. Let not apostasy surface in our churches.

I've been reading 2 Samuel, and I thought the verse on the top was pretty intense. Well, I'm supposed to clean my room, so I'll go do that now.

Current status: bummed..with a lot of things.
