You know those times when the preacher is giving the message, and you feel like he's talking right to you or about you? That happened to me today. We had a guest speaker and the message he gave was exactly what I needed to hear. I definitely felt like God was speaking to me through the message about my current situation. I thought the speaker was funny, and he had excellent points. Basically it was about how we can be victorious(as a witness) during tough times. His text was from 2 Corinthians 4:7-12.
Since everyone has problems, it's not how big your problem is, or how long it lasts, but how you look at it. You can choose to grow from it or you can let it defeat you. It's not what happens TO you, but IN you.
Just like what the pastor said, I was one of those who would ask, "Why is this happening to me instead of that other person?" When if fact I should be asking, "What is it that you want me to learn from this, Lord?" Though there is pain, I need to be focusing on the purpose of that pain. I like the point the pastor made when he said that if you look at the miracles in the Bible, there is usually a problem first. Small problem, small miracle. Big problem, big miracle.
God uses tough times to redirect our lives(Prov.16:9), examine us(Jer.17:10), and correct us(Heb.12:8-10).
The message definitely put a lot into perspective once again. I needed it to hear it.

Haha wow! That's really awesome stuff... and its definitely something I've come to find as true heh.
But yeah, that "problem" vs. "miracle" thing made something cool pop into my head! Biggest problem of all time: Sin. Biggest Miracle of all time: Christ.
Ahhh... life perspective indeed...
