Currently: Waiting

I picture myself in a waiting room. The most familiar scene would be a doctor's clinic. One might be sick and in need of prescribed medications or perhaps anxious for the upcomping surgical procedures. That's not the kind of waiting room I'm talking about right now though. No, I'm talking about a waiting room not where you just sit and wait for your name to be called, but a place or time in your life where you have a lot of life changing decisions about to happen. Before all these things happen though, a lot must happen first within yourself so that you may be ready when these things occur. This waiting room is where you grow as a person, let God build your character and grow deeper in your relationship with Him.

In life, we wait for many things: we wait for the traffic light to turn green, we wait and anticipate our upcoming birthday, we wait for our food to finish heating in the microwave, etc. As Christians: we wait for Jesus Christ's second coming, we wait for God's answer to our prayers, we wait on God when He chooses to remain silent to us, etc.

The thought of waiting may seem a nuisance to most, but as for me I embrace it with open arms. For most of my life I have been waiting. This feeling is no stranger to me. I am waiting for God to do His work in me and I am waiting for you. No rush =)
